If you have been spending any time browsing the Grow A Garden 2 community forums or Discord channels lately, you have probably heard players throwing around the term "Flashbang Method." Despite what it sounds like, you aren't looking for a hidden weapon or an explosive drop to unlock. Instead, the "Flashbang" is a highly popular community-discovered exploit used to glitch the game's internal code, forcing massive mutations, giant flowers, and absolute monster crops that yield incredible value.
The community coined the term because the entire process revolves around a precise log-out and re-login sequence. When you rejoin the server to trigger the glitch, you are hit with a bright loading screen flash while you manipulate sleeping pets in the background. If you want to rapidly maximize your garden payouts, here is exactly how to gather your materials and pull off the Flashbang method effectively.
Required Materials
This glitch requires a very specific setup. Before attempting it, make sure you have gathered and organized all of the following assets across your accounts:
  • Two Separate Devices: You will need to run two accounts concurrently. Your main account will be doing the heavy lifting on one device, while an alternate account (or a trusted friend) stays active on a second device to keep an eye on your garden plot.
  • Four Specific Sprinkler Tiers: You cannot just use any watering setup. To properly stack the growth calculations, you must own exactly one Basic sprinkler, one Advanced sprinkler, one Godly sprinkler, and one Master sprinkler.
  • Moon Cats: These specific pets are crucial for the timing mechanic. If you don't have enough Moon Cats to fill your equipped slots, fill up the remaining spaces with Orange Tabby Cats.
  • Target Trees/Crops: Have the exact plants or trees you want to turn massive fully grown or ready on your main plot.

Step-by-Step Execution Guide1. Setup Your Sprinklers and Pets
Start by placing your chosen trees or crops down inside your primary garden plot. Next, equip and summon your Moon Cats (and your filler Orange Tabbies), dropping them right near the plants. Now, you play the waiting game: wait for two or three of these cats to curl up and fall asleep right next to each other.
The second they fall asleep, open your build menu and physically move your target trees directly onto the exact coordinates where the cats are sleeping. Once the trees are anchored on top of them, drop your four different tiers of sprinklers around the base so that all of their watering perimeters overlay perfectly on the same spot.
2. Clear Your Plot and Log Out
Grab your harvesting tool and do a clean sweep of your entire area. You need to clear away any other miscellaneous crops, stray plants, or random uncollected harvests on your plot. Your plot should look completely empty except for the specialized tree, pet, and sprinkler setup you just built. Once everything is perfectly locked in, completely log out of the game on your main account.
3. Trigger the 30-Minute Cooldown
Keep your main account entirely offline for a minimum of exactly 30 minutes. Do not try to cut corners here; this waiting window is absolutely vital. This period stalls out the plant's growth update cycles and prepares the game to load the specific flashbang screen layout when you attempt to rejoin the server.
4. Monitor and Flash-Rejoin
While your main account is waiting out the final minutes of the clock, log in to your second device using your alt account. Travel over to your main account's plot and watch it closely. Keep your camera angled toward the sky and wait until you see at least three moons sleeping directly over your targeted tree. The absolute second they fall asleep, launch the game and log back in on your main account.
When the game boots, do not tap, click, or try to skip the loading sequence. Let the bright white screen flash resolve naturally. As you spawn back into the world, instantly pull out your building hammer tool, select the tree where your pets are sleeping, and nudge it slightly to a new position. Moving it breaks the stalled state and forces the engine to recalculate the stacked sprinkler multipliers all at once. If done right, giant, high-value mutated fruits will instantly explode into existence around your garden.
Pro-Tip: Precision is everything with this exploit. If your secondary account misses the exact moment the moons fall asleep, or if you move the tree too late after the loading screen resolves, the stacked calculations will reset normally, and you will have to wait and set up the loop all over again.
